Nestled in the Langvlei Dunes of Wilderness, not far from the Lakes Area National Park and spectacular Wilderness Beach, is Treedom Villas and Vardos. The eclectic, colourful, eco-friendly sanctuary blends luxury and warm hospitality in a wild and beautiful natural setting. It’s home to two unique Vardos (gypsy wagons) and a triple-storey treehouse villa, all designed with romance, relaxation and magic in mind. Accommodation can be booked per unit or on an exclusive-use basis.

The boho-chic villa is an open, double-volume space where a large expanse of windows invites in the unspoilt, natural surroundings, and embraces the abundance of wildlife. Listen to the birds while you cook in the beautiful modern kitchen; step out onto the terrace and absorb the tranquil beauty of the forest, or gather around the firepit for an evening under the stars.

The large daybed swing is the perfect spot to settle down with a book, or head to the enclosed boma where you’ll find a magical heart-shaped plunge pool and a sauna in an old wooden gypsy wagon. When you’re ready to venture beyond this romantic bolthole, the beautiful forests, lakes and beaches of the Garden Route beckon with outdoor activities galore.

Come evening, treat yourself to a private dinner in the Treedom forest under a natural handmade woven tunnel with seasonal menus, twinkling fairy lights, hanging lanterns, and a magical atmosphere (menus are bespoke and designed per dinner, so booking in advance is essential).

Treedom’s Luxury Villa nestles among the trees over three storeys: a downstairs entertainment area; a main living and sleeping area on the first floor, with a sunny terrace; and a loft bedroom sleeping an extra two people.
