Sanjika Escapes: Boomhuis

In indigenous forest at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains, you’ll find Sanjika Escapes’ farm stay, the Boomhuis. Here you’re a mere 15 minutes from George Airport, but you’ll feel miles away from civilisation, surrounded by birdsong, fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby stream.

With vast windows hovering over the rejuvenating life of the forest, this one-bedroom studio is intentionally designed for a renewed sense of undisturbed meaning. Immerse your senses with a slow morning coffee and homemade rusks overlooking the forest, or unwind in the elevated wood-fired hot tub. Expect a crackling indoor fireplace, an outdoor braai, fire pit and pizza oven, and a double outdoor shower – everything you need to fall in love with the bliss of solitude, where reconnection happens effortlessly.

Good to know
A higher clearance vehicle is recommended. A 4x4 is not necessary, but there are bumpy and oftentimes muddy farm roads to navigate.
