This small seaside village, halfway between Mossel Bay and George, is a popular seasonal resort, famous for its stretch of sandy beaches and fynbos-covered cliffs. Situated in an ancient riverbed, with steep cliffs on the sides that provide shelter from the wind, it’s the perfect escape for families looking to spend their holidays on the beach. Fishermen can enjoy rock fishing here and are likely to catch some good-sized fish. Shell-collectors can search the sands for the elusive pansy shell, and kids will love exploring some of the fantastic caves in the cliffs. Whale and dolphin viewing is also a highlight, while the many other attractions of the Garden Route are not far away.
