Leopard Valley Eco Retreat Cabins: Cape Weaver

  • 2 guests
  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom

Hidden in a valley in the majestic Cederberg, this eco retreat on a 1 200-hectare farm offers a soul-firing escape in tranquil natural beauty. Shipping containers have been converted into five stylish cabins, painted black and positioned beneath a well-ventilated roof structure, with sliding doors that open onto a deck with spectacular views. Crystal-clear springs feed a dam, pond and swimming pool close by, and one cabin (Verreaux’s Eagle) has an outdoor bathtub for magical stargazing.

There are five off-grid cabins in total: three with one bedroom (Cape Canary, Malachite Sunbird and Verreaux’s Eagle), a family unit boasting two bedrooms (Cape Sugarbird) and the more compact Cape Weaver, which has more of a studio setup. But whichever one you choose, it’s sure to be comfortable and peaceful, with all the fresh air and wide open space you need to disconnect from daily life and return feeling rested and recharged.
