Famous for its hot springs and – of course – an abundance of citrus farms, Citrusdal is a great place to plug into your GPS when it’s time for your next weekend getaway. And why not stay on a working citrus farm to get an authentic experience of this tranquil area? Latjeskloof B&B is situated on just such a farm – 25km outside the town of Citrusdal – and offers three types of accommodation. The Guest Suite is an ensuite double room in the main farmhouse (with its own entrance), while the open-plan Loft Apartment occupies the entire upper floor and sleeps six. Then there’s the stand-alone Latjeskloof Cottage, which sleeps a maximum of four (two adults) and has its own wood-fired hot tub, covered braai area and plunge pool.
