Goodluck Homestead: Vineyard Cottage
In the heart of the Overberg, you’ll find a place brimming with heart and good energy.
Tabby Robertshaw and Alex Choulder are living the bucolic dream on their regenerative farm, where they came to start bee-keeping and grow veggies. Tabby, a former chef, now supplies unusual produce to the region’s chefs, while Alex lovingly hand-built this special eco cottage, using on-site timber, clay and straw (which makes it super-cosy in winter).
Vineyard Cottage is not only gorgeous and super-comfortable; it’s also solar- and gas-powered, and plumbed with pure spring water. In short, it’s your ticket to immersion in country life – complete with birdsong and hooting owls – and the ideal spot to indulge in fire-cooked meals, sunset hot-tub sessions beside the vines and beautiful views all the way to Walker Bay.
